Our Dream is World Travel, What's Yours?
Hi! We’re Neil and Sarah, the couple behind 2GoRoam and the 2GoRoam Travels YouTube channel. In 2021, we packed up our lives, left our traditional careers behind, and set off to explore the world full time, together.
We didn’t win the lottery or inherit a fortune. Instead, we simply made a decision: to stop waiting for “someday” and start living the life we dreamed of. Our name 2GoRoam reflects both our journey as a couple roaming the world and our bold choice to retire early to go roam.
From Corporate to Compass
We come from very different professional worlds
Neil is originally from Swindon and spent his career working in Disaster Recovery and Resilience for a large banking institution — experience that’s surprisingly handy when travel plans go awry
Sarah, from Birmingham, worked as a Project Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, juggling deadlines and delivering results
Neither of us loved our jobs but we loved our vacations. That passion for travel led us to embrace a FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) mindset. We saved hard, cut back, and prepared to retire early. But it was a freak accident, when Neil fell down the stairs and suffered a serious injury, that made us realise we didn’t want to wait any longer to start living. Life is short. The time was now.
How We Travel
We travel minimally and cost effectively, often blending Airbnb stays with campervan adventures. From bustling cities to remote coastlines, we aim to soak up each destination deeply rather than rush through. In fact, we plan to do a lot more campervan travel in the coming years. It’s our favourite way to slow down and truly connect with where we are.
Though we’re still UK residents, we maintain a small house in Spain, which we use as a cozy basecamp between trips.
Where We've Been
In just the last four years, we’ve travelled to:
Mexico, USA, Canada, Greece, Turkiye, France, Spain, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, Australia, and the Pacific Islands — and the list keeps growing
Of course, not everything goes to plan. But we face all setbacks as a team, and often with a laugh. In fact, the unexpected challenges are part of what we enjoy most. They make every journey more memorable.

We created 2GoRoam Travels on YouTube to inspire others to live their dream, just like we did. Whether you’re dreaming of early retirement, a sabbatical, or just a big adventure, we want to show you that it’s possible — and often simpler than you think.
